What is japa?

The first 45 days, in caring hands

In many Indian families, the weeks after childbirth are a special time of rest called the japa (confinement) period. An experienced woman — the japa — looks after the newborn and helps the mother recover, just as grandmothers have done for generations.

Our japa experts from Bihar bring that same traditional wisdom into your home: the daily oil massage, warm baths, help with feeding, and caring for the baby at night so the mother can heal and rest.

Japa care is booked on a 45-day contract, which covers the traditional confinement period after delivery.
How much does a japa cost?
Our japa remuneration is ₹1,200 to ₹1,500 per day, according to the japa's experience — about ₹54,000 to ₹67,500 for the full 45 days.
Will the japa do household work?
No. We are a health care centre for patients, newborn babies and elders, and we do not provide house maids. Our japa looks after the mother and the newborn only.

We recommend contacting us a few weeks before the due date, so we can match the right japa for your family.
